First blog post...

Hi there! I decided to add a blog to this site because it was very empty, so I'm gonna use this for updates on my personal creative projects. This way, I can still share things but not be anxious about it being on social media haha.

I've decided I want to try finishing a big project by the end of the year, so I chose my smallest "big project" to get my foot in. "The Keeper and the Reaper" is (hopefully!) going to be a visual novel about life and death :)

I came up with the initial idea when I made a Sim called "Crypt Keeper" for a graveyard in the Sims 4 back in 2021. It was originally supposed to be a star-crossed romance between the Keeper of Souls and the Grim Reaper, mostly inspired by the fact that (at the time) in-game, you could only flirt and cuddle with the Grim Reaper and not go any further into a relationship, even if you fully filled the romance bar.

I'll reveal more about the story later, but here's some old concept doodles of the Grim Reaper (usually just called "Grim") too:

While I'm pretty set on the Keeper's look, I haven't been able to get Grim right yet. I do have a pretty clear idea of what I want to do, but as you can tell I haven't been able to execute it juuuust how I want it yet.

That's just about all I'm gonna show off today, but in later posts I'll get more into my plans for the game and show off more concept art. If you made it to the end, thanks for reading!
